1st Grade Magnificent Math Minds

Our first graders are busy mathematicians!!  They are working on their addition and subtraction facts, telling time, counting money, and increasing their number sense skills.  They deserve high-fives for working so hard!
Jaliyah is working on memorizing her math facts.
Students enjoy playing a fun game while working in this skill.
Nathaniel is working hard at counting money.
Students are increasing their number sense skills by reading numbers
and identifying the number in the ones, tens, and hundreds place.
First grade students learn to tell time to the hour and half hour.  They also learn
to identify and read times that are quarter to the hour and quarter past the hour.

Kindergarten Mathematicians

Our kindergartners have been hard at work during their math time.  They have been writing and sequencing the numbers 0-31, counting groups of objects, counting by 1's, 2's, 5's and 10's, counting backward from 20, counting 0-115, and choosing what is 1 less or 1 more than a given number.  They have worked so hard and should be very proud!

Oral counting 0-115!

This student is independently sequencing 0-31.

These students are blasting off like a rocket when
practicing counting backward beginning at 20.

3rd Grade Math

We are working toward mastering our multiplication facts.  Students have an extra incentive to master the facts as they are working toward building their very own banana split!  During the week students practice at the level they are at and each week have the opportunity to take a timed test. Each time they pass a new level they color in more of their banana split.  They will be rewarded for their hard work later this Spring when they get to make and eat their reward!
